Emmanuelle Hernandez

French, Spanish and English teacher at AEL ACADEMIA

My name is Emmanuelle Hernandez. French with Spanish origin, I was born and raised in Angers, a green city known for its gentle way of life - "la douceur angevine" - and located in the Pays de la Loire region.

I have a degree in Foreign Languages Applied to International Business, specializing in English and Spanish, as well as a Master's degree in International Management and Marketing, 70% of which was taught in English.

Since I was a child, I have been fascinated by Hispanic countries, their cultures and particularly by the Spanish language. With my family, we spent a month in Spain every year until I turned 18, the year I graduated with my Baccalaureate in Literature (2014). The following year, I was Au pair within a Spanish family whose children were studying in a French school. Then, during my Foreign Languages degree, I also did an internship in Spain and an internship in a boarding school in India (NGO).

As soon as I get my Master's degree in 2021, I wanted to go even further. How? By taking the decision to fly to Mexico, more precisely to the city of Mérida (Yucatán). We also called it the "ciudad blanca" (white city), a color similar to the petals of the daisy. And I fell in love with it, both literally and figuratively... In other words, the heart of this daisy finally took hold of mine... “I love you, a little, a lot, passionately, madly!” As children say when they leave the petals of a flower one by one.

Full of energy and determination, my personal and professional goals are above all to give meaning to what I do. And sharing this passion for languages through teaching is fully meaningful to me.

Therefore, with great pleasure, I will be teaching French (mother tongue), Spanish and English at AEL Academia.

Marcela Olguín Trujillo

English, Spanish and Italian teacher at AEL ACADEMIA

I was born in Mexico City. I began teaching when I was 18 years old and I love it, it’s very satisfying and it heals the soul and spirit. I have been doing this for more than 30 years…wow! It’s been more than half of my life…

I studied the Bachelor in Languages in Mexico City at the Instituto Superior Anglo Americano, and became a translator and interpreter in English, Italian and French. I also lived in Italy in the beautiful city of Parma – yes, where Lambrusco wine, salami and Parmiggiano cheese are made - and I taught English to some Italians. When I returned to Mexico, I continued with classes and began teaching Italian and French. Languages and teaching have been a constant in my life.

Romane Candice Lacroix

French teacher at AEL ACADEMIA

My name is Romane Candice Lacroix, originally from the city of Châteauroux, located in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. My childhood was spent near fields full of beautiful daisies, which have become the symbol of my personal development and my passion for teaching French.

When I turned 18, I decided to leave the countryside and move to the capital. That's where I graduated from the University of Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV) in Languages, Literature and Civilisations in English (LLCE), with a specialisation in French as a Foreign Language and Comparative Linguistics in my third year. I then went on to do a master’s degree in Francophonie, Multilingualism and Intercultural Mediation at the University of Rennes ll.

As soon as I obtained my master’s degree in 2019, I decided to devote myself to teaching French. For almost two and a half years, I worked as a self-employed teacher in the beautiful city of Paris. My interest in foreign cultures then led me to join an association dedicated to languages and promoting cultural exchanges.

What impassions me in my job is exchanging and sharing. That's why, in 2021, I decided to fly to Mexico, to Mérida to be exact, to teach French in a variety of establishments. This experience has enabled me to learn and master Spanish fluently.

I see myself as a curious person, always ready to take on new adventures. That's why I'm delighted to be part of the AEL ACADEMIA team and to be part of this promising new adventure.
